The EMS Data Analyst ensures accurate and timely import of EMS data into the NEMSIS database. This role involves manual data review, troubleshooting, validation, and reporting to maintain compliance and support quality improvement.

The EMS Data Analyst ensures accurate and timely import of EMS data into the NEMSIS database. This role involves manual data review, troubleshooting, validation, and reporting to maintain compliance and support quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor EMS/ePCR data submissions and check for compliance with NEMSIS standards.
- Perform manual data entry, correction, and formatting for database import.
- Implement validation checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Identify recurring data quality issues and recommend improvements.
- Generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations for decision-making.
- Support quality improvement initiatives with data insights.
- Collaborate with EMS agencies and stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Stay updated on NEMSIS standards and assist with staff training.
- Document all data entry, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
- Hands-on experience with EMS/healthcare data (NEMSIS preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data manipulation.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate clearly, and work in a team environment.
- Familiarity with EMS operations, patient care, or medical terminology is an advantage.
