Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

As an integral part of the Quality Management Group, you will be responsible for the following –

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinating quality activities.
  • Convene Project Kick off meeting.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders and assess the project progress.
  • Review planning documents like Project Plan, Estimates, MPP etc
  • Review Functional specifications and technical design documents and provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Review Program specifications and Unit Test Plans.
  • Review Testing related documents like Test Plans, Test Approach, Defect Logs etc.
  • Conduct periodic review and highlight the Risk to the Management on time.
  • Track project progress and update Senior Management periodically.
  • Carry out process and baseline audits on each phase of the project.
  • Review of Software Configuration Management activities for projects and User access verifications.
  • Perform validation on all project artefacts and issue the Release certificate.
  • Carry out functional testing on sample basis.
  • Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Verification of adherence to source code quality.
  • Implement and roll out of various tools.
  • Analyse and evaluate process effectiveness and make necessary process changes.
  • Analyse historic data and report product quality trends based on it.
  • Co-ordinate for external audits like SSAE 16 and Oracle Audits.


Responsibilities

Skills:

MUST Have:

  • Good insight about Software Development Life Cycle
  • Firm grasp and experience in Waterfall and Scrum methodologies
  • Sound Knowledge on Agile practices .
  • Good knowledge of industry best practices and standards.
  • Knowledge on CMMi and SSAE 16 assessments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent Reporting and Presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast changing, dynamic environment while coordinating multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good insight about Auditing best practices.


Good to have:

  • Insights about Static code Analysis tools
  • Knowledge of defect tracking tool
  • SQL knowledge


Tools:

  • Microsoft Office (MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) – Mandatory.
  • Atlassian JIRA, Confluence or other Agile project management tools – Preferred.
  • SVN / GIT – Preferred.
  • SonarQube – Preferred.


Self-Test Questions:

  • Are you familiar with software development life cycle (SDLC) process.
  • Do You have knowledge of Audit and compliances?
  • Do you have knowledge of project Risk Assessment?
  • Were you involved/part of external audit?
