Key Responsibilities

  • Engage and communicate with the community to prevent and mitigate human-dog conflict
  • Work with the community to gather nominations and nurture a strong volunteer/support network for street dog-related issues
  • Support and assist the dog management (DM) team in carrying out activities with community involvement
  • Address complaints registered from communities through multiple channels and assist the DM team where required
  • Conduct Knowledge Attitude Practices (KAP) surveys regularly with guidance from the Assistant Manager and Senior Manager, Community Engagement
  • Travel to other locations for conferences, meetings, retreats, workshops, and other necessary events
  • Support the development of Information Education Communication (IEC) material as per the context and needs of the program for communities
  • Identify and document case studies and success stories from the community for donors, media, and public consumption
  • Document content from the field through photographs, videos, dialogues, and interviews with the communities and other stakeholders for sharing the department’s work with the public
  • Provide information and data for the preparation of regular reports on progress, achievements, and challenges from a community perspective for donors, government stakeholders, and media
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
