The Cloud Engineer 4 is responsible for contributing to cloud products and system design, working with engineering teams to solve complex problems, leading innovative projects, and evangelizing cloud engineering excellence across the organization. This position is experienced in one or more cloud-related engineering fields actively working to mature cloud engineering practices across the company.

Currently we are looking for the position of Cloud Architect 4
The Cloud Engineer 4 is responsible for contributing to cloud products and system design, working with engineering teams to solve complex problems, leading innovative projects, and evangelizing cloud engineering excellence across the organization. This position is experienced in one or more cloud-related engineering fields actively working to mature cloud engineering practices across the company.
What You Will Be Doing
- Write code to solve complex problems; complete logic algorithms and system design in alignment with established standards
- Partner with teams from across the organization to solve complex software problems in the cloud
- Lead new cloud technology research proof of concepts (POCs) and innovation efforts across the department
- Collaborate with architecture, product, and cloud leadership on strategic decisions including product and system design, technical roadmaps, and functional/non-functional requirements
- Provide oversight for engineering teams to make high-level technical decisions, evaluate risks, and provide direction and ensure alignment with the technical roadmap and other teams
- Design and drive the implementation of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to cloud environments with a focus on quality security and automation
- Establish and evangelize engineering standards, procedures, and best practices related to security, performance, reliability, deliverability, quality, and cost optimization
- Act as an escalation point and subject matter expert for the moderately complex production issues code issues and medium-level customer requests for assistance (RFAs)
- Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge
- Operate as an innovative thought leader; contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of the department through knowledge sharing and coaching on current best practices and market trends
- Mentor coach train and provide feedback to other team members; provide feedback to leadership on abilities of team
- Promote and lead program/cross team initiatives
- Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in software development cloud engineering or a related technical engineering field
- Demonstrated experience in at least one cloud-related engineering field
- Extensive experience leading complex system analysis, design, and development programs
- Extensive experience building and delivering enterprise applications
- Extensive experience supporting cloud software that is in production and used by customers
- Experience working with one or more public cloud providers
- Extensive experience implementing and working with continuous integration/continuous delivery
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related systems, specifically GitHub Actions
- Experience with infrastructure as code deployments, specifically Terraform
- Excellent oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with an executive presence
- Excellent collaboration skills applied successfully within team as well as with all levels of employees in other areas
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to mentor and coach multiple team members in support of their professional development
- Ability to provide guidance and support to developing team members
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion independently

- Demonstrated knowledge of cloud-native design principles
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with building systems that meet stringent quality security and compliance standards
- Extensive knowledge of a general purpose programming languages
