Job Overview
Podar Education Network is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Nellore. This full-time role is ideal for professionals with 1 to 3 years of experience, interested in contributing to the mental well-being of our students. The successful candidate will provide psychological assessments and interventions, ensuring a supportive environment for students’ cognitive and emotional development.
Qualifications and Skills
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a vital skill for developing and implementing treatment plans to address students' behavioral and emotional challenges. (Mandatory skill)
- Cultural Competency in Mental Health is essential to effectively understand and respond to the diverse cultural backgrounds of our student population. (Mandatory skill)
- Proficiency in Behavioral Assessment Tools to accurately evaluate and monitor students’ mental and emotional conditions. (Mandatory skill)
- Experience with EMDR Therapy to assist students dealing with trauma and stressor-related disorders effectively.
- Familiarity with Telehealth Platforms to provide remote support and consultation, ensuring access to mental health services.
- Knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-5) is necessary for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning of psychological conditions.
- Electronic Health Records (EHR) Management skills to efficiently document and maintain confidential student records and treatment plans.
- Capability in Crisis Intervention to immediately address and manage emergency situations ensuring student safety and well-being.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and provide individual and group therapy sessions for students to promote mental wellness.
- Develop and implement tailored intervention plans by collaborating with educators and parents to support students' psychological needs.
- Maintain accurate and secure records of student assessments, treatment plans, and progress in alignment with confidentiality standards.
- Facilitate workshops and seminars to educate staff, students, and parents on mental health topics and coping strategies.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to share insights and develop holistic strategies that enhance students' educational experiences.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide immediate intervention during crises to protect the mental health of the student body.
- Stay updated with the latest evidence-based practices in psychology and mental health to continuously enhance service delivery.
- Provide consultancy and training to faculty members on recognizing and mitigating psychological issues within the school environment.
