Role Overview
We are looking for a creative Game Designer with 2-3 years of experience in game development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of game mechanics, level design, and player psychology. The candidate needs to collaborate with artists, programmers, and other designers to create engaging and immersive gameplay experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design game mechanics, systems, and levels to enhance player engagement.
- Create and maintain design documentation, including game concepts, user journey wireframe, rules, and progression systems.
- Balance gameplay elements for fairness, replayability, and fun.
- Conduct playtesting sessions, gather feedback, and iterate on designs.
- Analyze player behavior and metrics to refine game mechanics.
- Collaborate with artists, programmers, and narrative designers to ensure cohesive game design.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor games.
- Attend various requirement gathering sessions and prepare proposals against the requirements.
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in game design (mobile, PC, or console).
- Strong understanding of game theory, player psychology, and UX/UI principles.
- Proficiency in game design tools (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, Figma, Miro).
- Experience with level design, scripting, or balancing game economies.
- Proficiency in communication skills.
- Excellent understanding of gameplay fundamentals.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Passionate about game mechanics, accessibility, UI effectiveness, iterative design, and playtesting.
- Game design degree a plus!
