Role Overview:
We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Modeller to join our design and product development team. This role is ideal for someone with a diploma in engineering and strong CAD software certifications, who can efficiently transform creative concepts into high-quality 2D and 3D CAD models. If you are passionate about design precision, quick execution, and contributing to eco-conscious innovations, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Modelling & Design Translation -
- Create accurate 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for furniture and décor products.
- Interpret sketches, design briefs, and artisan inputs into production-ready CAD outputs.
2. Efficiency & Precision -
- Deliver CAD models with speed and accuracy, ensuring quick prototyping and production readiness.
- Develop detailed technical drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
3. Collaboration & Support -
- Work closely with designers, artisans, and production teams to ensure feasibility and design alignment.
- Maintain an organised digital CAD library for all product assets.
4. Innovation & Improvement -
- Stay updated on the latest CAD tools and modelling techniques.
- Suggest design improvements and support the product team with market-aligned innovations.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Design Engineering (mandatory).
- Professional certifications in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, or equivalent).
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in CAD modelling (preferably in furniture, interiors, or product design).
- Proven ability to deliver rapid and accurate CAD models.
- Strong eye for detail, technical problem-solving, and design precision.
- Familiarity with furniture materials (wood, rattan, cane, bamboo) is a plus.
