The Business Planning, Analysis & Insights (BPA&I) team is responsible for managing PwC’s financial risk through financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and tactical consulting to elevate the quality and depth of insights provided to PwC’s Lines of Services. As part of the team, you will work across Deals and Tax, and will assist the Senior Manager, BPA&I with the profit planning process, forecasting, cost benefit analysis and reporting function.

Responsibilities
As a Business Planning, Analysis & Insights Senior Associate, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues from strategy to execution, and delivering high quality service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Act as primary support for Senior Manager, BPA&I in planning activities, including LoS leadership meetings and financial planning discussion
- Assist with Monthly Operating Review and Analysis to provide LoS leadership with complete picture on LoS Performance
- Prepare decks for LoS Leadership meetings, attend as required, and provide commentary and insights regarding monthly performance relative to plan (variance analysis) and forecast outlook
- Review monthly General Ledgers for Deals and Tax to verify that revenues and costs are recorded accurately and assigned to the appropriate GL accounts
- Prepare and process Journal Entries based on recurring and ad-hoc requirements
- Work with Senior Leadership and other stakeholders to assess and evaluate accrual requirements
- Prepare financial components of leadership presentations
- Process Revenue, Resource, Cost and Borrow & Loan adjustments in Anaplan
- Provide support to the BU leaders by advising on business risks, opportunities and compliance with PwC Canada Finance policies
- Build and develop strong relationships across all levels of the organization
- Participate in UAT and special projects
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the Senior Manager, BPA&I to support end-to-end financial solutions
- 5-8 years of progressive financial analysis experience, ideally in a professional services environment
- Expertise in financial statement analysis and analytics
- Ability to work with large datasets and synthesize complex information into actionable insights
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with excellent data visualization skills
- Prior experience with Power BI and Anaplan is considered an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to negotiate, influence and advise senior leadership
- Critical and creative thinking to solve complex financial problems
- Organized, self-motivated and committed to continuous learning
- Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships across the organization
