Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
  • 3 years of experience as a category, channel, operations manager, or related experience in Consumer Products, Retail, eCommerce.
  • 3 years of experience in project and partner management, overseeing complex cross-functional projects.
  • Technical and organizational skills to troubleshoot detailed operational issues spanning a large, fast-growing retail network.

About The Job

As an EMEA Business Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving initiatives to grow the gift card business across Europe, Middle East and Africa, managing ongoing operations to sustain and scale our business. You will act as the hub for internal and external partners, spanning sales, engineering, finance, legal and suppliers, to maintain product availability and to launch new programs and products -- put simply, our team brings product to life at retail.

Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations for the EMEA region, including demand planning, inventory management, product fulfillment, and unit forecasting.
  • Develop and drive project plans across internal and external partners to ensure timely launches for new products, new markets, and new programs. Partner with regional leads to prioritize market initiatives.
  • Oversee operations of vendors gathering retail intelligence data, integrating market data into holistic efforts sustaining product availability.
  • Coordinate, execute operational strategy through external distribution partners, and diagnose and resolve supply chain issues across external distribution networks.
  • Drive process improvement and transformation projects to simplify operations, enhance business performance, analyze retail trends, and present solutions to drive sales in stock availability and active stores.
