About The Role
We’re looking for a sharp, proactive, and analytical Business Finance Lead / Head to own P&L governance, enable data-driven decisions, and be a strategic finance partner across the organization. Key Responsibilities
Financial Control & Reporting
- Manage end-to-end P&L governance and oversee timely and accurate financial reporting
- Drive cash flow optimization – monitor payables, receivables, and inventory turns
- Work with business and ops teams to improve margins and reduce financial leakages
- Ensure robust compliance, internal controls, and risk management frameworks
- Drive unit economics tracking and channel-/SKU-wise profitability analysis across platforms (Website, Marketplace, Quick Commerce, etc.)
- Partner with Sales & Marketing teams for budgeting, planning, and spend optimization
- Consolidate data from sales, ads, ops, and inventory for comprehensive internal dashboards
- Act as the go-to person for any business performance metric or financial decision support
- Help prioritize strategic spends, defer non-critical outflows, and advise on capital deployment
- 5–8 years of experience in business finance, FP&A, or controllership roles
- Prior exposure to D2C, eCommerce, or consumer brands preferred
- Strong command over P&L ownership, cost control, financial modeling, and forecasting
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with tools like Zoho Books, Tally, or similar is a plus
- Experience working in founder-led, high-growth startups will be a strong advantage
- High attention to detail, business acumen, and a solution-oriented mindset
