Job Role: Lead Business Analyst

Domain: Investment Banking/ Corporate Banking

Location: Mumbai

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Business Analyst (BA) team in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for various projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create detailed requirement specifications to guide project development and ensure successful implementation.
  • Ensure that project requirements are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Manage change requests, track project progress, and escalate issues as necessary to maintain project timelines and quality.

Technical Skills:

  • Business Analysis: Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.
  • Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of Agile principles and experience working in Agile environments.
  • Technical Specifications: Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications.
  • Tools & Technologies: Proficiency with business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, etc.) and familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Data Analysis: Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 to12 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects.
  • Proven experience in leading a team of Business Analysts.
  • Exposure to a variety of industries and domains, with an understanding of industry-specific challenges and requirements.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Lead the BA team in conducting stakeholder interviews and requirements gathering workshops to collect necessary information.
  • Analyze current business processes and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure that project requirements are understood and met throughout the development process.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions with stakeholders to resolve issues and clarify requirements.
  • Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders and senior management regarding project progress and any potential risks.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Advanced Degree: A master’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.

  • Leadership: Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
  • Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
