BIM Operator

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented BIM (Building Information Modeling) Operator to support the construction and coordination of an underground metro project. The BIM Operator will be responsible for developing, managing, and updating 3D models, coordinating with various disciplines, and ensuring that all design and construction data is accurately integrated into the project lifecycle using BIM tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage 3D/4D BIM models for underground metro structures such as stations, tunnels, cross passages, shafts, and utilities.
• Coordinate BIM models across multiple disciplines including civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and geotechnical teams.
• Prepare construction shop drawings, coordinated layouts, and clash detection reports using software like Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Integrate survey and geotechnical data into BIM models for accurate representation of underground conditions.
• Support Digital Twin and Common Data Environment (CDE) systems for real-time data management and documentation.
• Conduct model-based coordination meetings and participate in clash resolution workshops.
• Generate quantity take-offs and assist with construction planning and 4D simulations (time-based progress visualization).
• Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), project standards, and client requirements.
• Maintain accurate as-built models and support project handover documentation.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• 5 – 10 years of experience in BIM modeling in infrastructure or metro rail projects.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and other BIM authoring tools.
• Understanding of construction processes, underground works, and coordination needs in complex infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards, BEP documentation, and CDE platforms (e.g., BIM 360, ProjectWise).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in modeling complex underground geometries including NATM tunnels, TBM tunnels, and station boxes.
• Knowledge of 4D/5D BIM (time and cost integration).
• Experience working with international consultants or government infrastructure projects.
