Competences Requirements
- Knowledge / Qualifications
- CATIA V5– good
- Teamcentre – not mandatory
- GD&T – good
- DFMEA – good
- Design of parts for plastic injection moulding
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Previous Experience (If relevant)
- Relevant experience from 2 to 6 years in Design of lamps for automotive 4 wheeler lighting (Front and rear lamps)

- Main Missions
- Mechanical Engineer/ Sr. Mechanical Engineer as a team member he/she is responsible for fulfillment of project objectives: delivery of robust, proven and reliable product in required time, quality and costs.
- Mechanical Engineer may be assigned to Lead Mechanical Engineer (LME) role on the project. The scope of his/her responsibilities then increase based on relevant job description.
- Reports to Application Leader in term of tasks based on assignment into particular project.
- Provides technical support within the mechanical construction during product development leading to successful introduction into production.
- Develops concepts for innovative products with regard to feasibility, cost, lifespan, customer and legal requirements.
- Applies the best OPMOBILITY design and process practices ( DGL, Rules ), standard parts, Lessons Learned, CAD standards and OPMOBILITY CAD methodology and specific customer requirements.
- Provides suggestions for creating and updating DFMEA.
- Cooperates with External and Internal customers and suppliers from first product concepts till J1 +90
- Cooperates at creation of DFMEA, CAE plan, DV plan, component test and certification in compliance with the CDP/LPDS/VBOS, and customer specifications as well as legal requirements.
- Actively works within the team to support successful DV / PV and delivery of PPAP on time.
- On request participate on TDR organized by other teams to provide feedback.
- Participates in customer & quality audits for given products / projects if required.
- Scouts for innovation opportunities, cost optimizations and actively participates in DCRM sessions and participates in their implementation in the project.
- Performs / Support benchmarking, prepares inputs and participates in benchmarking process. On the basis of the information gathered gives incentives to improve OPMOBILITY standards.
- Provides technical support to new business development (i.e. Engineering BOM, presentation, feasibility)
- Mentors new PD engineers
- In cooperation with OPMOBILITY legislation team is responsive to develop technical solution without infringing of existing non-OPMOBILITY Intellectual properties. In case new design solution is invented or used during product design process ensure that all required steps for Intellectual property protection of this new design solution are initiated.
- Prepares and shares given project Lessons Learned.
- Performs assignments related to particular development (CDP/LPDS) projects.
- Support creation, maintenance and updates of OPMOBILITY design guide lines and rules.
- Performs other activities according to the superior's instructions, which do not contradict the positions of the position.
- Is working in compliance with prescription of safety and health protection ( BOZP ) & fire protection (PO); internal regulations and applicable legislation.
