Reviews EPC schedule prepared by EPCM contractor critically along with planning engineer deputed at site during construction phase.
Identifies planned activities for various contractors / subcontractors for short term and medium term Holds meetings with counterpart/ project manager to ascertain that they are providing adequate men and machinery to complete the work as per planned activities.
Ensures that persons deployed by the contractor are having adequate skills and experience to carry out the requisite work (welder qualification; IBR certification) Interfaces with detailed engineering contractor -wherever necessary- to resolve the technical issues and help the progress of piping fabrication/ erection Close watch on any design change request or specification waivers requested by contractor and accepting/ rejecting them through proper change management mechanism and maintains records for all such changes approved during execution of the project. Understands and explains contract terms to all concerned and deviations –if any are brought to the notice of project manager and resolved accordingly.
