Summary of Position:
The Operational Procurement Specialist is responsible for executing purchasing transactions on all controlled materials and services. This role ensures compliance, system integrity, and supplier performance through transactional execution, vendor management, and audit readiness.

3-6 years of experience in direct material procurement and SAP systems.
Strong Understanding Of Supplier Performance Metrics And Compliance Requirements.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve procurement-related issues.

The Operational Procurement Specialist is responsible for executing purchasing transactions on all controlled materials and services. This role ensures compliance, system integrity, and supplier performance through transactional execution, vendor management, and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain procurement data, including supplier information and purchasing records, and assist with tracking procurement performance metrics and providing regular updates
- Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve minor procurement issues
- Help prepare regular procurement reports and ensure accurate documentation
- Support procurement systems and tools, including updating electronic catalogs and sourcing tools.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with procurement policies and controlsAll associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training. Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations .
- Manage Purchase Requisition (PR) validation for controlled materials and services for intended purchases transacting through SAP. This includes verification of controlled status of intended material or services within ASL, Price Info Record and Supplier List setup prior to completeness review of every SAP/Maximo PR.
- Process PR to Purchase Orders (PO) within SAP, including routing for workflow approvals.
- Ensure latest applicable specification documents (SPECDOC) are sent with every direct material POs and follow up on supplier acknowledgements before routing back to internal stakeholder, for their acknowledgement and acceptance.
- Handle POs change management within SAP, as when requested by internal stakeholder(s).
- Handle creation and facilitation where needed, on return POs for controlled materials.
- Troubleshoot any PO-related issues with SAP CoE team, on SAP POs. This includes downstream disruptions for any SAP POs, during Goods Receipt, Invoicing etc.
- Resolve supplier conflicts and quality issues. Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, where needed.
- Expedite shipments, manage returns, and follow up on delivery issues, when needed, for the site.
- Help prepare documentation for internal and external audits
