Position: Research Assistant

Role Overview

We are seeking 1–2 sharp, detail-oriented Research Assistants to support the Executive Producer in establishing the research foundation for a flagship audio documentary that documents global business history.

You will be responsible for source hunting, content extraction, fact-checking, and building research bibles for each episode.

Your work will directly feed into the writing and production of one of India’s most ambitious audio docu-series.

You will get an opportunity to interact with the world's brightest minds and influential personalities during the process of developing this series.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct deep research across books, academic papers, archives, and credible digital databases.
• Extract and summarize key events, dates, personalities, and business case studies relevant to assigned episodes.
• Maintain a structured research log (citations, links, quotes, page references) in Airtable/Notion.
• Prepare episode-specific briefs (2–3 page summaries) highlighting central facts, conflicts, and narrative hooks.
• Support the Executive Producer in fact-checking scripted material for historical and financial accuracy.
• Transcribe and log interviews with historians, economists, and subject-matter experts (if required).
• Work collaboratively with the producer to align research with storytelling POV (drama, stakes, human impact).
  
  

Engagement Timeline

• Initial contract: Episode 1 research cycle (~5 weeks).
• If aligned, extend to remaining 9 episodes (3–4 weeks each, overlapping).
• Total engagement: 4-5 months (with staggered workloads).
