Assistant Professor - Physics and Chemistry

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching:
• Deliver engaging and effective lectures and lab sessions.
• Develop and update curriculum materials.
• Teach a range of courses, potentially including thermodynamics, mechanics, electronics, electrodynamics, electricity & magnetism, optics, nuclear physics, and astrophysics.
• May teach introductory courses in chemistry as well.
• Research:
• Conduct high-impact research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
• Develop and secure research funding.
• Form research groups, potentially including aspiring PhD students.
• Participate in institutional research endeavors and interdisciplinary projects.
• Mentoring and Advising:
• Mentor and advise students on academic and career goals.
• Supervise student research projects.
• Departmental and Institutional Activities:
• Collaborate with colleagues on departmental and institutional initiatives.
• Participate in academic committees and professional organizations.
• Other:
• May offer remedial classes or additional support to students.
• May be involved in curriculum development, course design, and assessment.
