Job Purpose

The role powers growth in B&W by offering data-led business insights and performance tracking. This role offers the candidate exposure to the global B&W business comprising brands such as Dove, Vaseline, Sunsilk, and Clear; large geographies such as the US, China, India, and Brazil; and functions such as marketing, finance, supply chain, and Uniops. The ideal candidate is of an analytical mind, with an innate ability to structure and translate business problems and questions into quantifiable metrics and solutions. The candidate understands the different metrics, in terms of not just how they are derived or calculated but also in terms of what they mean. The candidate loves data and knows their way around Excel sheets, as well as can help distill large, complex data into digestible insights for those who do not. The candidate has a keen eye for developments in the field of data analytics, especially the transformation being brought on by AI, and can bring these capabilities into Unilever.

Key Deliverables

  • Support the Marketing Analytics Manager to deliver and manage performance Management Suites for Business Performance from Brand & BU Lens – delivered in the form of basic reports as well as IT-enabled dashboards using different data sources (such as financial, CMI, Procurement, Media, etc.)
  • Manage the creation and accurate and on-time delivery of different performance reports for B&W
  • Manage the delivery of Input and Output Measurement of Key Actions and Plans. Provide Data and Insight Support to Leadership Teams for key discussions and forums.
  • Manage the regular performance reporting represented by B&W in all global forums.
  • Under the guidance of the Marketing Analytics Manager, Lead Projects (collaborating with cross-functional teams, especially UniOPS) to improve data and insight quality, especially developing the role of AI in data capture, data mining, and data presentation
  • Manage all budgeting and procurement operations (budget management / Purchase Order Processing) for the BI team.
  • Translate analysis into big-bold headlines to be used in stakeholder communications.

Key Skill Sets And Experience

  • Expertise in Excel and Analysis is a must. Should have the ability to process vast data sets and distill insights
  • Strong presentation-making and presenting skills
  • Knowledge of key Unilever data sets – Media, Retail panel, Household Panel, BGS, Financial, Procurement, etc. Candidate needs to understand what metric is used to measure what part of brand performance and how metrics interact with each other. Knowledge of business warehousing systems
  • Ability to democratize large data sets into simple insights and presentable formats.
  • Acquaintance with B&W business categories and segmentation is desirable.
