Job Description

• Responsible for conducting network or infrastructure installation, commissioning, implementation of equipment and services, site visits, preparing analysis and sharing recommendation on alternatives based on ground conditions & conducting configuration as per engineering test designs. This is an Project implementation role which is responsible for delivering results that have direct impact on the achievement of results for projects undertaken as per business requirements.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits for identification, evaluation & assessment of field conditions to evaluate feasibility of installation project and specified design.
  
  

Ensure timely installation, testing, and commissioning of all electrical equipment at project sites as per design specifications.

Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, government regulations, and company engineering standards.

Assist in the planning and execution of end-to-end electrical infrastructure projects including power supply systems, backup power (DG, UPS), HVAC power feeds, and energy management systems at telecom/data center sites

Support in design review, BOQ preparation, single-line diagram verification, and approval of electrical drawings.

Monitor project milestones, resource deployment, cost adherence, and documentation.

Conduct periodic inspections and audits of sites for safety, quality, and energy efficiency.

Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety standards, statutory norms, and environment-health-safety (EHS) protocols.

Liaise with government authorities/discoms for permissions, approvals, and statutory compliances related to electrical works.

Support sustainability and green energy initiatives including solar integration, energy audits, and power optimization strategies.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams including facility management, real estate, network operations, and vendors for project rollouts

• Ensure installation in case of standard and intermediate projects or monitor installation by vendor for complex projects.
• Conduct configuration as per Engineering plan design and run standard acceptance tests and stability tests as per defined parameters in test sheets.
• Verification/Creation of project plans and ensuring changes are completed successfully as per the agreed project plan.
• Conduct site audits to ensure compliance with commercial terms.
• Managing day to day communication across all stakeholders
• Client, vendors, solution, and engineering teams
• Coordinate activities and tasks among project team members to meet project goals and ensure project completion is on schedule within budget constraints and of the appropriate quality standards for the project scope.
• The role may lead a small team.
  
  

Minimum Qualification & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

• Experience in infrastructure project management and on field experience in telecom
  
  

Desired Skill sets

• Strong knowledge of HT/LT electrical systems and their application in telecom and wireline infrastructure
• Project management skills, Stakeholder management skills, managing resources, managing vendors.
• Experience in Supplier Co-ordination and order delivery
• Experience in infrastructure implementation and support.
  
  

Familiarity with UPS, DG sets, SMPS, battery systems, and earthing solutions

Proficient in AutoCAD (electrical drawings), MS Project, and MS Excel, Power BI

Good understanding of electrical safety norms and compliance requirements (CEA regulations, IE rules).
