Roles And Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal and local regulations. Has a good knowledge of safe operations of Forklifts and other warehouse MHEs.
- Puts in unyielding efforts to keep the workplace and people safe.
- Develop and lead end-to-end logistics solutions to achieve required on-time pick up & delivery of goods.
- Drive cost out projects by driving Kaizen competitions.
- Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
- Has knowledge of best practices and how warehouse is integrated with other departments.
- Uses judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated warehousing program and processes with technical variety.
- Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
- Understands the warehousing aspect of planning for logistics consolidation.
- Should have an hands-on experience on Oracle ERP.Receive, classify, and stock incoming goods. This includes ERP updating, managing stocking conditions, and knowing "what is where".
- Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in Warehouse area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
- Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.
- Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods
- Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
- Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
- Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of rack layout, dimensions and storage plan.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in warehousing and logistics.
- Conversant with various methods of stock planning, lead time analysis and incoterms.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan.
- Ability to listen and resolve complaints.
