Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complete operational execution for both Air and Ocean (Export & Import) shipments, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with airlines, shipping lines, overseas agents, and customers for space booking, documentation, and cargo movement.
  • Supervise the preparation and verification of key documents such as MAWB, HAWB, MBL, HBL, SI, BL instructions, and final handover sets.
  • Monitor freight movement, cargo readiness, and uplift schedules; proactively resolve delays or discrepancies.
  • Negotiate freight rates with carriers and agents to secure competitive pricing and optimize profit margins.
  • Ensure smooth customs clearance coordination and documentation flow for both imports and exports.
  • Respond to customer queries, provide shipment updates, and maintain a strong service relationship.
  • Maintain and analyze operational reports, costing sheets, and performance MIS to support management decisions.
  • Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations, DGFT norms, and internal quality processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, with strong exposure to both Air and Ocean Freight.
  • Proven team management or supervisory experience in freight operations.
  • Good knowledge of documentation, international shipping terms (Incoterms), and customs procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multitask and deliver under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment.
