Role purpose (overall high-level summary of the role) We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Assistant Manager - Marketing Operations, to support our global marketing efforts within Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB). This role focuses on delivering against marketing plans that are aligned with business priorities while ensuring effective governance processes are in place.
This role is critical to support the marketing team in India to ensure campaigns, events and commercially driven marketing programmes demonstrate clear, measurable impact on business performance. It’s ideal for a growing marketer who thrives on data, structure, results and cross-functional execution.

Role purpose (overall high-level summary of the role) We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Assistant Manager - Marketing Operations, to support our global marketing efforts within Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB). This role is critical to support the marketing team in India to ensure campaigns, events and commercially driven marketing programmes demonstrate clear, measurable impact on business performance. It’s ideal for a growing marketer who thrives on data, structure, results and cross-functional execution.
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities (e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.)
Campaigns, events, digital marketing
- Support the senior marketing managers with local campaigns and media activations. Drive optimisation and strong ROI.
- Maintain relationships with local agency partners to negotiate strong agreements and maintain high quality of service
- Support implementation of local direct-to-client marketing campaigns to achieve CIB business goals and objectives
- Manage delivery of events, including planning, creative and content development, vendor management, logistics, and post-event analysis
- Leverage MarTech platforms (marketing automation, email, analytics etc) to ensure running the latest systems possible
- Execute PWS local runways to ensure content is up to date and driving outcomes
- Provide systems support and guidance to the Business Marketing teams looking to drive campaigns through our platforms
- Support the coordination of the marketing calendar and campaign roadmap across various client segments and product lines.
- Support the management of the local marketing budget
- Collaborate with Finance and Business Management to align on forecasts.
- Support governance and operational processes across marketing planning, budgeting, and execution.
- Assist in delivering regular reporting to senior marketing and business leadership.
- Act as a partner to Business and Client/Sector Marketing teams to support go-to-market strategies and business alignment.
- Foster a performance-driven culture through transparency and continuous improvement.
- Advocate for Agile Principles and support an Agile way of working within the team
- Promote the organization’s values and create a diverse environment reflecting the HSBC brand.
- 3+ years of experience in marketing operations or planning roles within a financial service or B2B environment.
- Familiarity with marketing planning and performance reporting.
- Understanding of the institutional banking landscape and related product lines.
- Strong analytical skills with knowledge of marketing KPIs and business metrics.
- Experience in complex organizations and collaboration across business and marketing leadership.
- Effective communicator with the ability to present insights to stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
