Job Description

The KPMG Global Services (KGS) Tax is a diverse team spread across multiple cities in India. We provide tax and compliance services to KPMG Firms globally. Our core services include Business Tax, Global Mobility, Indirect Tax, Global Transfer Pricing, Global Trade Compliance and Tax Technology delivered by our professionals, who are known for their technical acumen and business insights to deliver exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

Roles & responsibilities

Review / sign off deliverables. Timely collection, analysis, and review of worldwide compensation information for tax reporting purposes. Seek feedback on the tasks completed. Own and be accountable for the feedback received. Contributing process improvement ideas. Identify additional scope of work on their respective engagements. Provide regular feedback on tasks reviewed and signed off – i.e., must provide feedback for Associates and Senior Associates quarterly. Ensure regular connects are conducted on their engagements and the meeting minutes are documented. Be the SME in all MCS concepts – Volunteer for trainings and MCS projects. First level of support to seniors/associates for their queries. Handle escalations from different stakeholders.Ability to manage complex tasks by applying technical and industry knowledge. Initiate action to quickly resolve or escalate issues, which may put the firm's reputation and brand at risk.

Qualifications

Educational qualifications

Minimum Master Degree from reputable universities with excellent academic result, majoring in Accounting or Finance

Mandatory technical & functional skills

The candidate must have 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a Big 4 Firm. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel). Proficiency in managing assignment payroll and other services. Understanding of Broad exposure to income taxation and knowledge of tax regulations.
