Brief Job Description:

The UPS Service Engineer

• Responsible for startups, maintenance, and emergency repairs for VERTIV UPS, battery, power distribution, and site monitoring equipment. Required to establish, promote and maintain excellent relations with all customers, salesmen, distributors, and others within the area.
• Maintain continuous communications with dispatching team and the department Manager/Supervisor.
• Responsible for the assigned spares VAN stock.
• Follow and respect, in all its technical interventions, the environmental guidelines established by Vertiv Spain, and those that are specific to the client's facilities where the intervention is carried out.
  
  

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

• Respond, in a professional manner, to all assigned service calls while on duty
• Read, understand, and comply with all procedures outlined in the Field Procedure Manual
• Perform all work in a safe manner, and in accordance with established company safety policy
• Ensure spare parts are properly accounted for using established parts procedures
• Keep Dispatching Team informed of your schedule and the status of all open jobs9+
• Maintain the accuracy of the customer listing by reporting errors
• Submit weekly paperwork in a timely, accurate and complete manner and in case of Wireless Field Service debrief the performed job in a complete and accurate manner at the Customer’s premises
• Keep company vehicle clean, neat and properly maintained
• Report and promotes sales or service leads to the proper department
• Attend customer meetings as required
• Being a reference point for key customers in case of emergency and troubleshooting
• Ensure availability to work during weekend and night in compliance with local labor laws
• Work closely with department supervisor to assist with day to day operational duties
• As a User, comply with the Company’s ITC policy.
• To attend to the environmental trainings that are locally required.
• To know and to comply with the waste producer’s requirements established by the current legislation, concerning the handling, transfer and storage of the wastes until their delivery to an authorized waste management company.
• To know and to comply with the procedures, instructions and action plans established by Vertiv Spain.
  
  

Qualifications

Required/ Minimum Qualifications:

• Secondary school diploma or University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Basic Level in English
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in technical service area working in a service or test environment of UPS equipment
  
  

Additional / Preferred Qualifications: -

• Computer Literate
• Valid Driving License, travel availability, weekend availability (frequently scheduled with little notice)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Self-starter, ability to effective plan, organize, and manage time effectively
  
  

Physical & Environmental Requirements: - (To be used majorly for manufacturing jobs.)

• Occasional heavy lifting required (30 kg.)
