Application Engineer I

Brief Description

Identify and solve problems presented to you by customers, customer service, manufacturing, quality, sales, and engineering. Position is responsible for knowing the RegalRexnord coupling portfolio with an emphasis on mechanical power transmission couplings. The individual will work with customers to determine the best coupling for their application, Understand the application, Guide on maintenance procedures and help customer with a system analysis. The person will work with manufacturing to determine machining, balancing and material requirements. The candidate preferred shall be familiar with AGMA, DIN, ISO, API, ASTM, and similar industrial standards. Must be able to read and interpret Engineering GA drawings.

Job Description (JD)

• Review and analysis of customer’s technical specifications and applications to provide product selection with necessary options and accessories.
• Develop technical specification and Provide quotation for selected coupling.
• Provide technical support to Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, account executives and customers.
• Provide solutions to technical questions and advise with regards to the products.
• Determine feasibility of design modifications for non-standard Configurations.
• Coordinate large project inquiries and quotations, which may include a multitude of RegalRexnord products
• Interact with cross functional teams in the company in obtaining information for quotations.
• Maintain performance metrics, corrective and preventive actions
  
  

Job Specification: (Education, Training and Experience)

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in Application Engineering/Technical Sales with 1 to 2 years.
• Good to have SAP & Salesforce (SFDC) user knowledge.
• Good in English communication
• Good analytical and Interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS-Office package and conversant with CAD.
• Power transmission and Marine experience will be added advantage .
