About this Position The Application Engineer – Field will serve as the technical bridge between customers and internal teams, providing product application expertise, troubleshooting support, and customized solutions that enhance customer processes. This role is critical in driving customer satisfaction, supporting sales growth, and enabling innovation through on-ground insights and technical guidance.

What You´ll Do

  • Responsible for product recommendations, customized products applications, new product demonstrations and troubleshooting for customers
  • Give feedback to and proactively seek it from sales, marketing, PD & innovation. Consult customers on solutions generating value for their use cases and perform technical visits (meetings, audits, demonstrations, troubleshooting, etc.) for customers with documentation in the CRM tool and the
  • Work with application equipment to provide solutions to enhance customer adhesive related processes.
  • Leverage customer feedback to drive optimization in customer service and identify new business opportunities for sales colleagues
  • Reports quality issues / customer claims to relevant parts of the organization (incl. CCMS/ACE). Drive customer experience by optimizing automated customer interactions and enhancing remote customer interactions.
  • Identify opportunities to create customer value in remote settings by leveraging remote interaction tools (e.g. AR, VR)
  • May guide the laboratory work (incl. prioritization) for samples coming from customers and report technical results to customer.
  • Responsible for products application / technical training and coaching of field sales forces and customer.
  • Responsible for directly communicating with sales, marketing, PD, Innovation, members of TCS field team or project team members.

What makes you a good fit

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Application Engineering, Technical Service, or FIELD technical support within adhesives, chemicals, polymers, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of adhesive applications, equipment handling, and industrial process optimization.
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues and provide practical customer-centric solutions.
  • Knowledge of documentation tools, CRM systems, and digital platforms for remote interaction.
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal & written).
