About The Team And The Role
eBay is looking for an iOS Engineer who is passionate about crafting apps consumers love. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a world leader in mobile commerce and directly impact the lives of a global population while growing the revenue of eBay exponentially.
What You Will Accomplish
- Develop and enhance Android applications that improve the seller experience on eBay, leveraging Kotlin and modern Android technologies.
- Collaborate closely with business teams to identify innovative features and interface improvements.
- Drive high-quality standards in code and project execution, contributing to the team's overall technical perfection.
- Engage in cross-functional team collaborations across eBay to build integrated and scalable solutions.
- Play a role in mentoring peers and setting new benchmarks for software quality and development practices.
- Participate actively in team decisions regarding system design and architecture, navigating project ambiguities.
- 3+ years of experience in Android development with extensive experience in Kotlin, Android Studio, Dagger, and Jetpack Compose.
- Strong understanding of mobile application design and UX patterns, particularly for Android.
- Experience in working with revision control systems (e.g., Git) and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Ability to build and maintain commercial-quality Android applications.
- Excellent communication skills for effective remote collaboration across dispersed teams.
- At least 6 years of software development experience, with substantial exposure to Agile practices and delivery methods.
