We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Analyst, Data Analytics
In This Role, You Will
- Provide execution, quantitative and analytical support for acquisitions and disposals across all transaction scenarios including the identification of possible transactions and appropriate structuring.
- Assist project executions, prepare valuation analysis, financial models, presentations, and conduct industry research and analysis. Analysts will develop their skills by working closely with senior team leaders and line managers within the business and will obtain board exposure to a wide array of transactions.
- Interact with various levels of management internally and liaise with external parties (e.g. lawyers, accountants, investment bankers, etc.) to ensure smooth progress of the project.
- Undertake all required activities as directed by Directors and Managing Directors or as agreed in annual objectives in support of the activities of the Group Mergers and Acquisition team and in accordance with the Group Mergers and Acquisition desk procedures manual.
- Prepare business case reports, presentations and proposals for the senior members within the Group Mergers and Acquisition team often within tight time schedules, conduct thorough research and complex data analysis via both creative and conventional means and work with other internal and external parties on structuring and executing transactions. The jobholder enjoys full creative and intellectual flexibility and is expected to take initiatives in delivering the end product.
- Prior experience of working within a financial modelling, valuation, and execution role in financial institutions sectors is Essential
- Previous Investment Banking, Corporate Finance or Corporate Development experience is Essential
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Stakeholder management experience at a Senior level is required.
- Written and Communication skills with experience of presenting
- Commercial acumen – ability to link strategy with financial outcomes (Impacts on Earnings Per Share, Return on Tangible Equity)
- Storytelling & Communication – Structure complex analysis into concise, executive ready narrative and presentations
