Responsibilities

  • Experience in Instrument Landing Systems (ILS), Distance Measuring Equipment (DME), Non-Directional Beacon (NDB) or Doppler VHF Omnidirectional Range (DVOR).
  • Establish radio frequency management requirements and obtain frequency authorizations to meet the requirements of the airspace/air traffic control systems.
  • Development and maintenance of airways facilities configuration management systems.
  • Prepare detailed engineering specifications for the production and procurement of equipment approved for inclusion in the airspace system.
  • Develop and recommend the total installation work programme to meet the requirements and assigns approved programmes for accomplishment.
  • Maintain capability to estimate life cycle costs; predict, review, assess, and monitor systems development, engineering, design, demonstration, test, production, operation, and support; assess schedules and performance experience against predictions and provide such assessments for consideration by top management officials at key decision points; make new determination where significant schedule or performance variance occur.
  • Conduct engineering analysis of commissioned field air navigation system/facility operations to identify significant problems or trends, prepare technical reports of nature and scope of these problems or trends, the anticipated impact, and provide engineering analysis and recommendations for corrective action.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture/ Planning, Urban Planning, or Education related to Aviation field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in airport planning, with exposure to airfield planning, terminal planning, landside planning, facilities
