Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for end-to-end payroll management, with a strong emphasis on accounting software proficiency and fundamental bookkeeping knowledge. This role ensures accurate payroll execution, compliance with regulations, and effective process improvements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and skilled in both payroll operations and accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll using accounting or payroll software, ensuring systematic reconciliation with financial records.
• Manage complex payroll transactions (bonuses, incentive payments, adjustments) and ensure all entries align with bookkeeping standards.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and assist with journal entries, account coding, and ledger reconciliations related to payroll.
• Prepare periodic payroll, statutory, and management reports utilizing relevant accounting systems.
• Ensure timely remittance and documentation of all statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS, etc.) per company and legal requirements.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll and accounting regulations, implementing necessary process adjustments.
• Address employee payroll queries with clarity and professionalism.
• Collaborate closely with Finance and HR for data accuracy and seamless integration with the company’s accounting records.
• Assist with payroll and financial audits by providing accurate reports and documentation.
• Mentor junior payroll or accounting staff as needed.
