About the Team:

We’re seeking an exceptional Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team. This role will be a significant contributor to the accounting and reconciliation of our Treasury and Adjacent Services operations.

Role Responsibilities:


  • Prepare journal entries for our Treasury and Adjacent Services operations in NetSuite
  • Reconcile property settlement statements to cash paid or received
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies by coordinating with title agencies
  • Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules and fluctuation analyses
  • Prepare journal entries for cash transactions and reconcile cash to bank statements
  • Assist with Opendoor's financial statement preparation and financial statement audit
  • Identify and implement process improvements through automation to support the company’s growing business operations


Skills Needed:


  • Degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of experience in US Accounting / MNCs (Multinational Companies)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
  • Transition experience will be value add
  • Desire to work in a fast growing, exciting and agile business
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment, including with teammates in other locations
  • Strong communication skills


Bonus Points:


  • Real estate accounting experience
  • NetSuite or other ERP experience
  • Licensed CPA or CPA candidate
  • Basic understanding of SQL
