FarmwiseAI is a forward-thinking company leveraging technology to innovate in agriculture. We are looking for an experienced Accountant with a strong foundation in financial reporting, compliance, and budget management to join our team and help support our financial growth.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, analyze financial trends, and deliver key insights to management.
• Bookkeeping
• Maintain accurate financial records, oversee journal entries, and manage the general ledger to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Assist in the budgeting process, monitor spending, and provide financial forecasts to support strategic planning.
• Compliance & Tax
• Ensure regulatory compliance, manage tax filings, and stay updated on applicable tax laws to minimize risks and ensure adherence to legal requirements.
• Accounts Management
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensure timely payments, and manage collections effectively to maintain cash flow.
• Internal Controls & Audit
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls, prepare for audits, and support external audit processes to uphold financial accuracy and accountability.
• System Management
• Manage accounting software, ensure data accuracy, and provide training and support to junior staff on accounting procedures as needed.
• Financial Advisory
• Provide strategic financial insights, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assist in financial decision-making to enhance profitability.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with proven expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and budgeting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
