Role Overview
We are building India’s largest agri-commerce network. As the South Zone Sales Manager (ZSM), you will lead the hiring, training, and management of a 100-member ground force responsible for onboarding retailers onto the AGRIM Retailer App across South India.
Your Mandate Is Ambitious Yet Critical
This role is at the core of AGRIM’s growth engine. AGRIM’s expansion depends on deep rural penetration, high-quality retailer onboarding, and consistent order generation. The South ZSM will drive execution excellence across multiple districts and states, ensuring scalable and predictable growth on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
We are building India’s largest agri-commerce network. As the South Zone Sales Manager (ZSM), you will lead the hiring, training, and management of a 100-member ground force responsible for onboarding retailers onto the AGRIM Retailer App across South India.
Your Mandate Is Ambitious Yet Critical
- Lead the South Zone field force to onboard 200,000 agri-input retailers within 2 years while maintaining strong Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) discipline.
This role is at the core of AGRIM’s growth engine. AGRIM’s expansion depends on deep rural penetration, high-quality retailer onboarding, and consistent order generation. The South ZSM will drive execution excellence across multiple districts and states, ensuring scalable and predictable growth on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and manage a 100-member distributed field activation team across South India
- Drive retailer onboarding and activation across assigned territories
- Design, standardize, and implement sales execution and training processes
- Build performance management systems including dashboards, tracking mechanisms, audits, and productivity reviews
- Ensure strong CAC control while maintaining onboarding quality and scale
- Collaborate closely with Product and Marketing teams to improve onboarding experience and retailer engagement
- Manage external vendors, staffing agencies, and local partners for hiring, logistics, and compliance
- Monitor district-wise performance and ensure achievement of monthly onboarding targets
- Build a strong field culture focused on execution, ownership, and operational excellence
- Monthly retailer onboarding run rate
- Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)
- Quality and activation rate of retailer onboarding
- Team productivity and retention
- Territory-wise growth and execution efficiency
- 8–15 years of experience in field sales, distribution, rural expansion, or GTM execution
- Strong experience in managing large distributed field teams
- Prior exposure to FMCG, Agri-inputs, Rural Commerce, Fintech, Telecom, or B2B distribution businesses preferred
- Proven track record of scaling operations across multiple cities/districts
- Strong operational rigor, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
- Comfortable with extensive travel across South India
- Ability to work in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment
