Scope And Responsibilities

Oaktree is seeking a Regional Head of Treasury based in Hyderabad to oversee key Treasury functions on the ground while supporting the firm’s global treasury function. This regional leadership role will provide daily oversight across the Treasury Operations, Liquidity Management, and Risk Management teams and activities while driving process excellence, scalability, and strategic transformation initiatives for Global Treasury. The role will partner closely with the Global Treasury team leads on their respective initiatives as well as the broader finance organization including the Investment teams, Fund Finance, Capital Solutions, Corporate Finance, Legal, Compliance, and external banking partners to ensure efficient and resilient global treasury management.

Treasury Operations

• Oversee regional Treasury Operations teams responsible for payments, bank account management, capital activity support, and treasury reporting
• Oversee daily approval workflows related to payments, bank account requests, and account maintenance activities across platforms
• Drive transparency across operational activities through dashboard reporting, metrics, and regular stakeholder communication
• Manage escalation processes across treasury activities while coordinating closely with banking partners to resolve issues efficiently
  
  

Treasury Liquidity Management

• Oversee global liquidity management processes in the region including liquidity forecasting, cash positioning, excess cash management, and debt-related activities
• Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to optimize and improve cash reporting across entities and structures
• Support development and enhancement of liquidity forecasting models, reporting capabilities, and cash management processes
• Monitor global cash balances and banking structures to support efficient treasury management, operational scalability, intercompany settlements, and minimum cash balance requirements
  
  

Treasury Risk Management

• Oversee Treasury-related financial risk management activities on the ground including monitoring and reporting for foreign exchange, interest rate risk, and counterparty risk exposures
• Contribute to development and enhancement of Treasury policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks
• Support governance, controls, and escalation related to Treasury risk activities and banking relationships
• Partner with internal stakeholders across Fund Finance and Investment Operations to oversee processes, internal risk applications, and workflows supporting the execution, reporting, and monitoring of risk management strategies, including foreign exchange hedging and ISDA-related activities
  
  

Leadership & Strategic Initiatives

• Lead and develop Treasury professionals fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment
• Drive process improvement and transformation initiatives including technology-enabled solutions and automation opportunities
• Lead organizational change initiatives ensuring milestones, communication, and implementation risks are effectively managed
• Collaborate with teams across the Finance organization to identify and implement scalable operational improvements
• Present liquidity, risk, and operational metrics, process improvement proposals, and strategic initiative outcomes to senior management
• Support continued build-out and maturation of the Hyderabad Global Treasury function as a strategic center of excellence
  
  

Experience Required

• 12+ years of experience spanning multiple Treasury disciplines including liquidity management, treasury operations, and financial risk management
• Experience managing global banking relationships including investment banks, custodians, and prime brokers
• Experience within investment management, alternative asset management, banking, or global financial services environments preferred
• Experience with financial platforms such as Treasury Management Systems (TMS), Order Management Systems (OMS), Geneva, and Workday preferred
• Demonstrated track record leading process improvement or transformation for firmwide initiatives

Education

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and/or investment-, risk-, or treasury-related certifications preferred.
