‘FACOR’ a unit of Vedanta Limited, is one of India’s leading producer and exporter of Ferro Chrome, an essential ingredient to produce stainless steel and specialty steels. It is a fully Integrated business of 150 KTPA Ferro-Chrome production capacity with 1.65 MTPA ROM Production along with 6 Own Mines and a 100 MW Power Plant. Experience: 8 to 10 years of working experience as ventilation officer in underground metal mines

Qualification: B tech in Mining engineering with 1st class/ 2nd Class Manager Certificate of Competency Metal U/R.

The Successful Candidate:

• Develop & implement ventilation plans to ensure ventilation systems meet regulatory requirements. Also monitor & assess the effectiveness of existing ventilation system in Underground mine
• Regularly monitor & record the air quality of the mine to detect the various gases, dust & measure its level as per DGMS. Also monitor & record the air flow quantity & regulate through faces as per statutory requirement in underground mine
• Must have experience of shaft shrinking, installation & commissioning of mechanical ventilators in Underground Mine
• Ensure the maintenance of main ventilator & keep records of fan performance. Prepare standing orders of Fans in Underground Mine
• Develop & implement emergency procedure for any ventilation related incidents in underground mine
• Ensure compliance with all relevant mining regulations & safety standards as per DGMS
• Identify opportunities for improving ventilation systems & practices
• Give training & educate to mine worker, mining engineers, mining mates, foreman, supervisors related to mine ventilation, SOPs & maintaining healthy working environment

Desired Attributes:

• Must have Proficiency in Software like AUTOCAD & VENTSIM
