Key Responsibilities

  • Identify Qualify Vendors: Identify and qualify potential suppliers of trucking aftermarket parts (e.g.,engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical components, body parts, etc.).
  • Assess potential vendors based on factors such as product quality, production capacity, delivery timelines, and pricing competitiveness.

 Execute sourcing/re-sourcing projects

  • Create quote packages quickly and distribute to pre-existing and potential new suppliers
  • Continuously follow-up for complete and timely responses
  • Summarize results within allotted projected timeline with sourcing recommendations
  • Support follow-up inquiries from quality, purchasing, product development or other needs.
  • Execute preliminary negotiations
  • Provide project/timeline summaries suitable for presentation to management

 Build Relationships

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing suppliers.
  • Conduct initial meetings for new vendors and meet with existing vendors as needed.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between suppliers and our internal teams.

 Market Analysis

  • Gather market intelligence on industry trends, competitor activities, and pricing dynamics.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on market conditions and the competitive landscape.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in vendor sourcing and procurement
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and qualify high-quality suppliers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Strong Excel skills
