Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process by adapting ABB’s products and solutions to meet customer requirements and specifications. You will guide the selection of optimized products and technologies, prepare technical and commercial documentation, and act as a key technical resource for the assigned area. The role demands a mix of sales acumen, technical understanding, and customer engagement.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Machine Automation Division -B&R in Faridabad region in India. Main stakeholders are Sales, Customers, Engineering, Product Management, Technical Support, and Channel Partners.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Act as a machine automation consultant, representing the B&R portfolio and delivering technical knowledge to OEMs and end customers.
• Assess customer requirements and recommend optimal automation, machine control, motion control, and connectivity solutions.
• Support business growth through technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to develop customer-focused solutions while supporting technology adoption and innovation.
• Provide technical support, customer training, partner enablement, and technical audits to enhance machine performance and identify new business opportunities.
  
  

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related field).
• 5-8 years of experience in industrial automation environments, with deep knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, Drives, Motion Control, Servo Systems, and Mechatronics solutions.
• Practical experience in machine study, automation application development, and designing automation architectures to meet customer and industry requirements.
• Experience in servo sizing, motor sizing, digital simulation, and developing optimized motion control solutions.
• Industry experience in Printing, Packaging, Plastics, Pharma, and Life Sciences sectors, with a solid understanding of machine functionalities and automation solutions.
• Experience in Business Development and Application Engineering, with the ability to translate technical requirements into practical business solutions and support growth initiatives.
• Strong communication, customer engagement, and relationship management skills, with willingness to travel; fluency in English is required, and knowledge of an additional regional language is an advantage.
