  • Operate the EPB TBM safely and efficiently as per approved operating parameters, method statements, and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Control and monitor TBM systems including face pressure, advance rate, torque, thrust, cutterhead speed, screw conveyor, and slurry/soil conditioning systems.
  • Adjust TBM parameters in response to changing geological and ground conditions under the guidance of the TBM Maintenance Engineer / TBM Engineer.
  • Continuously monitor machine performance, alarms, and instrumentation to prevent breakdowns and unsafe conditions.
  • Coordinate with segment erector operators and backup crews during ring building and advance cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including emergency response and confined?space protocols.
  • Accurately maintain operation logs, production reports, and shift handover records.
  • Support planned maintenance activities and assist during cutterhead inspections and planned stoppages.
  • Communicate effectively with shift supervisors, engineers, and control rooms regarding ground conditions, machine behavior, and production issues.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and operational training sessions.
