Description

Amazon Supply Chain forms the backbone of the fastest growing ecommerce business in the world. The sheer growth of the business and the company's mission "to be Earth’s most customer-centric company” makes the customer fulfilment business bigger and more complex with each passing year.

Our Supply Chain team is responsible for planning and executing the network for our UK fulfilment business. We work closely with Amazon’s Fulfillment Centers (FCs), Transportation, Retail and Finance teams, orchestrating the upstream and downstream partners to exceed customer expectations while optimizing end-to-end supply chain speed and cost.

We are looking for an analytical and driven Supply Chain Analyst to join our team. In this role, a S&OP Supply Chain Analyst will seek out problems, dive deep into data, earn trust of partner teams, and deliver results that can have a large scale influence. This role is a blend of short term execution and long term strategic planning, that requires quick decision-making, with incomplete data, while also thinking big and influencing the long term direction of the network.

You will be responsible for driving EU level strategic projects and change initiatives in collaboration with multiple stakeholders and in alignment with senior management. You will also work on key analytical projects to drive smarter and optimal decisions within the team.

The end goal of this role is to answer the question of how we can fulfill more products to our customers in a safer, faster, more efficient, and more cost-effective manner.

Key job responsibilities

  • Make sound business judgments to drive both tactical as well as strategic improvements
  • Own programmatic execution and the detailed and strategic levels
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement processes to eliminate defects in the supply chain
  • Create, develop, and drive solutions that lead to a richer end to end customer experience
  • Successfully operate and influence in a cross-functional capacity

About The Team

Customer Fulfilment, or CF, is where it all started for Amazon. CF has scaled up from a humble team of booksellers to a sophisticated global team which handles more than 1.5 million orders every day. The team is the foundation of our business and its efforts have helped us diversify across new regions and services. With the help of emerging technology, we’re always looking for ways to offer a bigger, better product range – delivered quickly and affordably.

Our centres are sometimes referred to as the ‘First Mile’ because it’s where most Amazon packages start their journey. We help to manage dynamic inventory and facilitate speedy deliveries round the clock.

Lots of different people work in our Fulfilment Centres, so there are plenty of opportunities for every skillset. Some of us work with physical products, while others analyse data to help everyone across the business make smart decisions.
