About The Role

Key result / decision areas (outcomes)

• Act as technical SME for Huawei NetEngine Routing, CloudEngine Switching, AirEngine Wireless, CloudWAN SD-WAN, CloudFabric Data Centre, and USG Security solutions.
• Perform advanced analysis and diagnosis of complex Huawei enterprise networking, data centre fabric, SD-WAN, and security issues.
• Design, deploy, and support multi-vendor network, data centre, and security solutions with a focus on Huawei technologies (CloudCampus, Agile Controller, iMaster NCE).
• Deploy and maintain Huawei NMS tools, including iManager U2000, eSight, and iMaster NCE, for network monitoring and orchestration.
• Prepare and maintain High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), operational processes, and technical documentation.
• Provide 24/7 escalation support for Sev 1 incidents, ensuring resolution within SLA using Huawei TAC as needed.
• Conduct a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in accordance with Huawei OEM best practices.
• Identify and recommend improvements across Huawei network, data centre, SD-WAN, and security architectures.
• Evaluate new tools and technologies for integration into the Huawei ecosystem and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with global IT teams, Huawei TAC, partners, and service providers.
• Deliver hands-on technical training and knowledge transfer to L1/L2 operations teams on Huawei products.
• Continuously upskill on Huawei’s latest enterprise network, cloud, and security product portfolio.
  
  

About You

Technical & Functional Skills & Certifications:

• Huawei Certified Internetwork Expert (HCIE) – Routing & Switching / Security / Datacenter (knowledge of SDN, Agile Controller, CloudFabric preferred).
• Huawei Certified Network Professional (HCNP) Enterprise Networks.
• Huawei SD-WAN certification (CloudWAN / iMaster NCE-WAN)
• Huawei Certified Internetwork Expert (HCIE) – Routing & Switching / Security / Datacenter (knowledge of SDN, Agile Controller, CloudFabric preferred).
• Huawei Certified Network Professional (HCNP) Enterprise Networks.
• ITIL certification – would be an advantage
  
  

Experience:

• 10 years of hands-on experience in enterprise Routing, Switching, Security, Multi-Vendor SD-WAN, and Data Centre networking, with strong Huawei product exposure.
• Proven implementation and operational experience with Huawei NetEngine routers, CloudEngine switches, and AirEngine APs.
• Routing: Configure, deploy, and support NetEngine AR Routers for WAN and branch connectivity
• Switching: Design campus LAN with CloudEngine S-Series
• Wireless: Deploy AirEngine APs with centralised WLAN Controllers
• SD-WAN: Implement CloudWAN using NetEngine + iMaster NCE-WAN
• NAC/Policy: Implement Agile Controller for 802.1X, identity-based access
• Solid background with CloudWAN, Agile WAN, SD-WAN orchestration via iMaster NCE.
• Experience with CloudFabric Data Centre technologies, FabricInsight, VXLAN EVPN, and high-performance DC switching.
• Deep understanding of network security using Huawei USG Firewalls, VPNs (IPSec, GRE, SSL), and NAC solutions.
• Familiarity with virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V) and Huawei FusionCompute/FusionSphere.
• Experience in data centre transformation, migration, and consolidation projects.
• Understanding of cloud computing infrastructure and orchestration using Huawei Cloud solutions.
• Working knowledge of scripting and automation using Python, Ansible, and Huawei APIs.
• Strong troubleshooting expertise and experience with Huawei NMS tools (eSight, iManager U2000, iMaster NCE).
• Good understanding of SDN and NFV principles and Huawei’s implementation of these technologies.
