BASIC FUNCTION

Provide Engineering support to business units by applying best practices in CAD Design in the domain of Generator. Managing review projects individually as well as in a team environment by ensuring timeline and quality requirements from business units.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Product Knowledge, CAD and other software tools

• Review and validate Change Notices (CN) and Change Tasks (CT) before release

• Perform detailed checks on BOM structures, part attributes, and metadata

• Validate engineering drawings, CAD documents, and document linkages

• Ensure correct revision control and lifecycle states

• Identify discrepancies and coordinate with stakeholders for resolution

• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and PLM processes

• Verify approvals, workflows, and digital sign-offs

• Maintain data accuracy, traceability, and audit readiness

• Support continuous improvement in PLM processes

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Design, Manufacturing, Quality)

• Execute/allocate the project requests by meeting the business unit requirements in respect to scope, timeline and specifics.

• Work in coordination with the reporting manager to execute and complete the project from start to end by ensuring timeline and quality.

• Should be able to provide and seek solutions to resolve technical as well as non-technical issues that may affect the project with a proactive approach.

• Keep the manager updated on all project related issues, concerns and achievements and seek his support whenever required.

• Should be able to work and handle multiple projects efficiently.

• Provide and implement corrective actions and preventive measures regarding quality and timelines for the projects and maintain proper documentation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· BE / MTech Mechanical Degree qualification or equivalent with 3-6 years of experience in the field for product design, preferably generators.

· Experience in Windchill / PLM systems

· Strong understanding of BOM management and product structures

· Knowledge of engineering drawings and change management processes (CR/CN/CT, ECN, ECR)

· Familiarity with product lifecycle and release workflows

· High attention to detail and analytical skills

· Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills

· Ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines

· Experience in Power generation / manufacturing domain (Good to have)

· Exposure to SAP systems (Good to have)

· Understanding of configuration management (Good to have)

Key performance indicators :

· First‑pass yield success rate - increase 5% YoY

· Global checking pass rate - increase 5% YoY

· Capturing engineering rework and quality awareness to the teams - monthly / quarterly

· Audit findings related to engineering data - monthly / quarterly
