Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS Cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, cloud-native applications and microservices. The candidate should possess hands-on experience in modern application architecture, RESTful APIs, and AWS services while working in an Agile development environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices following industry best practices.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues.
  
  

Cloud & AWS Development

• Develop, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Work with AWS services including:
• EC2
• S3
• RDS
• AWS Lambda
• API Gateway
• ECS/EKS
• CloudWatch
• Ensure application scalability, security, high availability, and reliability.
• Monitor cloud resources and optimize application performance.
  
  

Architecture & Design

• Participate in solution architecture and technical design discussions.
• Design and implement microservices-based architectures.
• Apply distributed system design principles and best practices.
• Optimize application performance and ensure system resilience.
• Collaborate with architects to build scalable enterprise solutions.
  
  

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Prepare technical documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Support production deployments and post-production activities.
  
  

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

Must-Have Skills:

• 5–8 years of experience in Java application development.
• Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Strong experience in RESTful API development.
• Experience in Microservices Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services including:
• EC2
• S3
• RDS
• Lambda
• API Gateway
• ECS/EKS
• CloudWatch
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Knowledge of Maven or Gradle build tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• AWS Developer Associate or Solutions Architect Certification.
• Exposure to monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
