SFTP L2 Engineer (Globalscape MFT)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for Globalscape EFT/MFT platforms, resolving incidents and service requests.
• Monitor and troubleshoot secure file transfer services, connectivity, authentication, and access-related issues.
• Manage user provisioning, SSH keys, encryption, and access controls.
• Support patching, upgrades, configuration changes, and partner onboarding.
• Collaborate with L3 teams for escalations, root cause analysis, and major incident resolution.
• Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and ensure compliance with security and ITIL processes.

Required Skills

• 4–6 years of experience in Network Security or Secure File Transfer.
• Hands-on experience with Globalscape EFT (Enhanced File Transfer).
• Strong knowledge of SFTP, FTPS, SCP, and HTTPS protocols.
• Experience with SSH key management, PGP encryption, and authentication mechanisms.
• Good understanding of firewalls, proxies, and network security fundamentals.
• Familiarity with ITIL Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting.
• Exposure to enterprise MFT platforms such as Axway, IBM Sterling, or TIBCO.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, or SOX.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Network Security, MFT, or ITIL are an added advantage.
