Job Description – Software Engineer (Level 5)

Experience: 10–18 years

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer Level 5 is a technical anchor responsible for leading complex development efforts, designing scalable components, improving engineering standards, and guiding junior engineers. The role demands strong technical depth, architectural thinking at a component/system level, and effective use of AI tools to accelerate delivery and improve quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and optimize application components using .NET Core / Angular / Vue / ReactJS.
• Lead end-to-end development of critical modules or cross-team features.
• Create component-level designs, architecture diagrams, and reusable frameworks.
• Write scalable, high-performing, and secure code aligned with best practices.
• Drive code reviews, mentor Level 1–3 engineers, and uplift overall code quality.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and contribute to performance and security improvements.
• Work actively in Agile workflows—user story refinement, estimation, sprint planning.
• Contribute to CI/CD readiness with basic build and deployment familiarity.
• Use AI tools for code generation, unit testing, documentation, and analysis.
• Collaborate effectively with QA, DevOps, Product, and cross-functional teams.
  
  

Required Skills

• 10-18 years of experience in developing browser-based application using .Net core and entity framework core.
• Knowledge and working exp with MVC.
• Experience in frontend like Angular/Vue/ReactJS
• Proficiency in at least one .Net language (C# preferred)
• Experience in developing RESTful web services using ASP.Net Core Web API
• Good SQL skills preferrable Microsoft SQL server.
• Proficient with frontend development using HTML5, CSS and any one of the modern javaScript frameworks like Angular with typescript and Breeze.js (preferred)
• Knowledge of architectural patterns—MVP, MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to cloud services (Azure/AWS), containers, and DevOps workflows.
• Ability to create or improve small design components or reusable utilities.
• Experience in writing automated tests or integrating with CI/CD pipelines.
