We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team and drive our Rail Products to the next level.
This role focuses on developing innovative solutions to address and enhance workflows at intermodal/inland rail facilities, optimizing the way cargo moves across rail networks. You will play a key role in shaping the architecture and expanding the functionality of our intermodal rail solutions, delivering high-impact software that improves efficiency, visibility, and performance for our global rail customers. Responsibilities
- Join an Agile team coordinating with a Product Manager, Lead Developer, and QA Lead
- Collaborate with product management, professional services and QA teams to deliver features and functionality
- Create new product features for our global customers using test driven development
- Identify and develop solutions for bug fixes and changes to a range of applications
- Participate in the full development life-cycle from definition and design to product delivery
- Provide first-hand supervision and guidance to software engineers on assigned activities
- Take end-to-end ownership of your part of the functionality
- Wake ownership of a product feature and drive design, coding and feature reviews
- Work on every level of the stack – frontend to backend, and everything in between
- Some international travel to customers and our other offices may be required at times
- BE/BTech/MCA/MSC IT with 5 to 7 years of experience
- Highly proficient in Java and solid understanding of full stack development
- Experience with Git version control, and hands-on experience with continuous integration systems like TeamCity, Jenkins
- Strong knowledge/experience with Object Oriented methodologies, design patterns, enterprise application architectures
- Strong understanding of application software, scalability, performance, and reliability aspects
- Hands on experience in test-driven development and unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Easymock)
- Hands on experience in relational database modelling & queries
- Experience with open-source frameworks such as Hibernate, Spring.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experience in converting user/business requirements into technical solutions
- Highly motivated individual, who is ready to accept challenges, continually innovate, learn, and mentor others
- Ability to work in a fast paced, test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment
- Ability to coach and mentor junior members in the team
- Ability to work with cross functional teams
- Fluent in written and spoken English
