Senior Project Engineer - Well Completion

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) to lead the design, development, qualification, and optimization of Well Completion Products (WCP) within the Oil & Gas industry. This role is responsible for driving product innovation, reliability improvements, and engineering excellence while ensuring compliance with API, ISO, and customer standards. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across the product development lifecycle and collaborate with global cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable, and commercially viable completion solutions.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on advanced downhole technologies, lead complex engineering projects, and mentor engineering teams in a dynamic product development environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, qualification, and optimization of Well Completion Products, including packers, completion tools, and downhole equipment.
• Manage product development projects from concept through qualification, validation, commercialization, and field deployment.
• Perform advanced engineering calculations, FEA, stress analysis, fatigue analysis, and performance validation for downhole applications.
• Resolve complex engineering challenges related to structural integrity, sealing performance, pressure containment, and product reliability.
• Conduct root cause analysis, reliability studies, failure investigations, and implement product design improvements.
• Lead feasibility studies, risk assessments, FMEA activities, and cost-benefit analyses for new and existing products.
• Ensure compliance with API, ISO, customer specifications, and internal engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, and HSE teams to develop safe, manufacturable, and cost-effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, qualification reports, design guidelines, and engineering change records.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams while promoting continuous learning and innovation.
• Support field operations and customer-facing teams with technical expertise, troubleshooting, and engineering recommendations.
• Champion HSE, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and product development.
• Extensive experience with Well Completion Products and Downhole Tools.
• Strong understanding of API, ISO, and Oil & Gas industry standards.
• Proven experience leading complex engineering projects and technical teams.
• Proficiency in CAD, FEA, and engineering analysis software.
