Job Description

Roles & Responsibilites

  • Equipment Operation & Maintenance
  • Perform operation, inspection, and maintenance of:
    • Mixers, crushers, and size reduction equipment
    • Screw conveyors and chain conveyors
    • Coal handling systems including feeders, conveyors, and transfer points
    • Silos and bulk material storage systems
    • Storage tanks (water, fuel, chemicals)
  • Ensure proper alignment, balancing, lubrication, and calibration of rotating equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance parameters and take corrective actions.
  • Boiler & Utility Systems
  • Operate and maintain boilers and associated auxiliaries (pumps, valves, pipelines).
  • Monitor steam generation, pressure, and temperature parameters.
  • Maintain water treatment systems including R.O (Reverse Osmosis) plants.
  • Ensure efficient operation of compressors (air systems) and hydraulic pumps.
  • Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems
  • Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic pumps, actuators, and control systems.
  • Diagnose issues in pneumatic systems connected to compressors and valves.
  • Ensure leak-free operation and proper pressure settings.
  • Material Handling & Lifting Equipment
  • Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot cranes and overhead (EOT) cranes.
  • Ensure safe handling of heavy materials and compliance with lifting standards.
  • Coordinate with operations team for material movement efficiency.
  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all plant equipment.
  • Implement predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis and thermography.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, history records, and equipment documentation.
  • Analyze recurring failures and implement root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Breakdown Management
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for quick resolution.
  • Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and statutory regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and toolbox talks.
  • Follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and quality guidelines.
  • Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials and high-pressure systems.
  • Team Coordination & Reporting
  • Supervise technicians and maintenance staff.
  • Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
  • Train junior staff on equipment handling and safety procedures.
Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Experience
  • 8–10+ years in Mechanical Maintenance
    • Preferably from AAC Blocks Manufacturing
