In Research & Innovation, we combine over a century of scientific expertise with cutting-edge technology. Backed by our global community of over 4,000 researchers across 20 research centres, we invent sustainable, high-performance beauty rituals that move the world.

As our Senior Hair Colour Formulation Scientist, you will spearhead the design and development of breakthrough hair colour technologies, reporting to the Formulation Laboratory Manager. You will turn cutting-edge chemistry into visible, high-performance beauty experiences.

• Steer lab strategy by scouting and developing innovative hair colour technologies backed by our Group investment of over €1.380 Bn in R&I.
• Build scalable technology platforms, using Augmented Beauty methods and AI screening tools to deliver winning formulas across diverse hair types.
• Lead pre-development projects from concept to industrial transfer, partnering closely with Development, Safety, and Regulatory teams to meet launch milestones.
• Protect and valorise intellectual property by authoring technical dossiers and contributing to patent filings.
• Upskill and mentor team members, sharing formulation know-how and championing laboratory safety and quality standards.
  
  

We Are Looking For

You Bring a Degree In Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Or a Related Scientific Discipline, Alongside a Track Record Of Solving Complex Formulation Challenges. You Bring

• Hair Color: Proven expertise in hair fibre biology, dye chemistry, and colour formulation across diverse global hair textures.
• Chemistry of Formulas: Substantial experience in troubleshooting raw material interactions, phase stability, and chassis optimization.
• Formulation of the Main Galenics: Practical mastery in designing robust, reproducible formulation matrices from bench to pilot scale.
• Problem Solving: Systematic approach to diagnosing complex laboratory challenges and engineering scalable technical solutions.
• Cooperation: Ability to collaborate seamlessly across transversal R&I networks, laboratory peers, and development partners.
