This role requires collaboration with hardware, firmware, mechanical, signal integrity, product, and manufacturing teams to develop reliable and production-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities:1. Schematic Design
  • Develop complete schematics for embedded, industrial, automotive, networking, and other electronic systems.
  • Translate system requirements and block diagrams into detailed schematics.
  • Review datasheets, application notes, reference designs, and design guidelines.
  • Define power architecture, clocking, reset, programming/debug, communication, and protection circuits.
  • Perform schematic reviews for functionality, connectivity, signal integrity, power integrity, and manufacturability.
  • Maintain schematic libraries, symbols, footprints, and component attributes.
  • Generate and maintain BOMs and engineering documentation.
2. PCB Layout
  • Perform complete multilayer PCB layout, including component placement, power and ground planes, signal routing, differential-pair routing, length/skew matching, controlled-impedance routing, and via/layer-transition optimization.
  • Develop PCB stack-ups based on electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Implement appropriate signal-return-path and grounding strategies.
  • Optimize layouts for EMI/EMC performance.
  • Work with high-density packages including BGA, QFN, QFP, and fine-pitch components.
  • Perform PCB design-rule checks and resolve layout violations.
  • Generate fabrication and assembly outputs including Gerber/ODB++, drill files, pick-and-place, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
3. High-Speed Design
  • Hands-on experience with high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0/USB 3.x, PCIe, DDR/LPDDR, MIPI, RGMII/RMII/SGMII, CAN/CAN-FD, SPI/I?C/UART.
4. Power & Mixed-Signal PCB Design
  • PCB design experience with DC/DC converters, LDOs, PMICs, power stages, and battery-powered systems.
  • High-current trace and power-plane design.
  • Understanding of switching regulator layout requirements.
  • Analog/digital partitioning and low-noise analog layout.
  • ADC/DAC and sensor interface layout.
  • Grounding and power-distribution strategy.
  • Thermal considerations for high-power components.
5. Design for Manufacturing
  • Work closely with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors.
  • Apply DFM, DFA, DFT, and manufacturing guidelines during design.
  • Understand PCB fabrication processes, tolerances, via structures, solder-mask requirements, and assembly constraints.
  • Review fabrication and assembly feedback and implement necessary changes.
Tools & Software Required:
  • Experience with one or more professional PCB design tools: Altium Designer, Siemens Expedition.
Cross-Functional Responsibilities:

The engineer will work closely with Hardware, PCB Layout, Firmware, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Applications Engineering teams. The candidate should be comfortable participating in design reviews, schematic and PCB layout reviews, component selection discussions, architecture discussions, manufacturing reviews, customer design reviews, and technical documentation.

Qualifications:Education:
  • Bachelor's or master?s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience:
  • 3?6 years of experience in hardware design, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
  • Strong hands-on experience with multilayer PCB designs.
  • Experience taking designs from schematic through PCB release.
Key Skills:
  • Strong schematic design skills.
  • Strong PCB layout skills.
  • High-speed PCB design knowledge.
  • Power and mixed-signal layout expertise.
  • DFM/DFA knowledge.
  • Good understanding of SI/PI fundamentals.
  • Component and library management.
  • Strong debugging skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret data sheets.
  • Ability to independently execute a design.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple engineering teams.
