Job Description
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving dealer/distributor sales
growth, expanding channel network, improving market penetration, and achieving regional
revenue targets for solar products including solar panels, lithium batteries, inverters, and
complete solar solutions.
The role requires strong channel sales experience, team handling capability, dealer relationship
management, and execution excellence in the solar or electrical industry.

Job Description
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving dealer/distributor sales
growth, expanding channel network, improving market penetration, and achieving regional
revenue targets for solar products including solar panels, lithium batteries, inverters, and
complete solar solutions.
The role requires strong channel sales experience, team handling capability, dealer relationship
management, and execution excellence in the solar or electrical industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Drive primary and secondary sales in assigned region
- Increase market share and dealer productivity
- Monitor sales pipeline and conversion
- Dealer & Distributor Development
- Appoint new distributors and dealers
- Activate inactive dealers
- Strengthen relationship with key channel partners
- Conduct regular dealer visits and business reviews
- Team Management
- Lead and manage Area Sales Managers (ASM), Territory Sales Officers (TSO), and
- Set targets and KPIs for team members
- Conduct field coaching and performance reviews
- Improve team productivity and discipline4. Market Expansion
- Identify new cities and growth markets
- Expand rural and semi-urban distribution
- Develop electrician, retailer, EPC, and installer network
- Business Planning & Execution
- Prepare regional sales plan and forecasting
- Execute schemes, promotions, and market campaigns
- Ensure stock availability with distributors
- Coordinate with operations and supply chain teams
- Collections & Credit Control
- Ensure timely payment collections
- Monitor outstanding and dealer credit limits
- Reduce overdue and bad debt risk
- Training & Dealer Engagement
- Conduct dealer meets and product training programs
- Train channel partners on product features and installation basics
- Improve dealer engagement and loyalty
- Market Intelligence
- Track competitor pricing, schemes, and market activities
- Share customer insights and market trends with management
- Identify new product opportunities
- CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate reporting in CRM
- Submit sales forecast, visit reports, and MIS
- Monitor team activities and productivity metrics
